Today's a tiring day because firstly, there aren't many customers and secondly, i'm really tired!!! haha... Did some replenishing of stocks today and price-tagging the watches..Very funny can..Two watches fell into that pit lor..Am i clumsy or am i clumsy. Actually, it's not my fault that the watches are suicidal right..wahaha. This proves one thing. Nike watches are durable. wahaha.

Today i had several funny customers in the store. There was this man who wanted to buy some training polo tees. So he got a white and a brown one. Unfortunately, we've ran out of sizes for the white one! So he started to get a little teeny weeny bit whiny and was like, " i really want that shirt! i really want that shirt! I bought it once before and i really want another one!" i was rather amused lah..but he's really a nice man.

Second incident. There was this German couple who came into the store today. Mus ate durian during break today. And the smell was quite overpowering. So the man was like," YOu know, i smell gas, you know from the kitchen stove that kind of gas?" Then shad was like, Er,.. Maybe it's from the Starbucks behind our store. THen i asked shad..I think it smells like durian. And she was like ya, that's durian. HUH!! durian and gas..very similar smell meh!??!

Third incident. This couple came and get a couple of things. I was off duty already but was queueing to pay for the orangy shirt my sis wants to get. So he was like quite amused and asked, "nike call bird ah?" Then my colleagues explained that it is actually managed by this company Berca Int'l Retail Div. Then it'll be tedious to greet people like, " hi good afternoon, this is berca int'l retail division nike store..blah blah blah" That's why they have the acronym. Then he was still insistent that it's weird to call ourselves BIRD. -_-!! He was obviously amused by the bird thingy. -_-

Tomorrow working till closing! Gotta sleep now! shall buck up tomorrow!! =)

I heard IT"S comin on wed.

Went to eat at circuit road just now. Argh. Wrong day! So many shops were closed and we were basically left with one choice. But well, dinner was still enjoyable and nice! My fav. tau huay zui shop also never open. alamak.

Super tired today lor. Have been working practically everyday...at nike and also at my cousin's. As usual, i was so slow in checking the accounts today, but after lunch time, i just chiong-ed all the way. Felt a sense of accomplishment!! wahaha... Luckily today we had transport back home, because i really feel damn tired. On the van at least i can have some peaceful slp without having to worry about missing my stop.hehe.

I'm exhausted!! But i can perservere!! =) zzzzzz.

Suddenly, my heart ached. all of a sudden, in the midst of tiring day at work. The memories just keep coming back. It just keeps coming back. And my heart ached. The people i met today made my heart ached even more. I couldn't control it. So i closed my eyes.

My teacher shared a very meaningful story with us. Shall share it with you guys. HOpe it knocks some sense into those who feel they're really in a very pitiful state. So i shall rejoyce.

Here's the true story....

After a conversation with one of my friends, he told me despite
taking 2 jobs, he brings back barely above 1K per month, he is happy
as he is. I wonder how he can be as happy as he is considering he
has to skimp his life with the low pay to support a pair of old
parents, in-laws, a wife, 2 daughters and the many bills of a
household.

He explained that it was through one incident that he saw in India
that happened a few years ago when he was really feeling low and
touring India after a major setback.

He said that right in front of his very eyes, he saw an Indian
mother chop off her child's right hand with a chopper. The
helplessness in the mother's eyes, the scream of pain from the
innocent 4-year-old child haunted him until today.

You may ask why did the mother do so; had the child been naughty,
had the child's hand been infected?
No, it was done for two simple words - - - TO BEG! The desperate
mother deliberately caused the child to be handicapped so that the
child could go out to the streets to beg.

Taken aback by the scene, he dropped a piece of bread he was eating
halfway. And almost instantly, a flock of 5 or 6 children swamped
towards this small piece of bread that was covered with sand,
robbing bits from one another. The natural reaction of hunger.
Stricken by the happenings, he instructed his guide to drive him to
the nearest bakery. He arrived at two bakeries and bought every
single loaf of bread he found in the bakeries.

The owner was dumbfounded but willingly sold everything. He spent
less than $100 to obtain about 400 loaves of bread (this is less
than $0.25 per loaf) and spent another $100 to get daily
necessities. Off he went in the truck full of bread into the
streets. As he distributed the bread and necessities to the children
(mostly handicapped) and a few adults, he received cheers and bows
from these unfortunate. For the first time in his life he wondered
how people can give up their dignity for a loaf of bread which cost
less than $0.25.

He began to tell himself how fortunate he is. How fortunate he is to
be able to have a complete body, have a job, have a family, have the
chance to complain what food is nice and what isn't nice, have the
chance to be clothed, have the many things that these people in
front of him are deprived of.

Now I begin to think and feel it, too! Was my life really that bad?
Perhaps no, I should not feel bad at all... What about you? Maybe
the next time you think you are, think about the child who lost one
hand to beg on the streets.

The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of
everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along
their way.

The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past, you
can't go on well in life until you let go of your past failures and
heartaches.

Today we had the same programe for all the sections..Video education. It was a really really touching story about this girl and how filial she is to her mom. She overcame so many difficulties and obstacles and didn't leave her mother alone. Instead, she fought against all odds bravely and of course succeeded in the end. Just that the ending wasn't a perfect one because her mom passed away just when she had the money to let her mom undergo medical help.

Then we had a sharing session. Really felt a lot lah. Actually, i didn't even feel like crying, didn't even think i was going to cry. But don't know why it just came uncontrollably. alamak. so paiseh!! wahaha.. but anyway, i'm really thankful for today's session. :)

i kinda hate uncertainties. It's a love-hate relationship depending on the context i suppose. But right now, as for what i'm facing, i'm definitely not liking it. And.. the next time, maybe i should just keep my mouth shut and smile.

That's such a luxury after a long long day! Worked at Nike today and was doing stocks the moment the shop opened. Did A shift today!! wahaha! okay lah.. i'm still a part timer. but at least i experienced both A and B shift already. :) The brunei Prince and Princesses didn't drop by today as planned. But anyway, it doesn't really matter much in the sense that we'll still be operating as usual right.. haha.. Today Ivy got me to go over to marina to get a catalogue from them, so i go lor..With the fastest pace i can, i challenged myself lor..and walked damn quickly. But at a comfortable pace lah.. got used to it already..haha. Then guess who i saw? Marianne Lee Shu Qin~!!! so coincidental lah!! alamak. wahahaha.. Ate Komala's today..not bad..but erm..the variety is quite pathetic when you compare it with East Coast's. :(

Surprise surprise!! Bro and Nic came over to our bird store today!! what a surprise..And Nic bought 2 shirts with Shad's staff discount. Thanks a lot shad.. Eh shad, don't know if you would be reading this but if you want to get anything from the store next time do tell me okayy! thanks..:)

Have had a hilarious dinner session tonight. It's interesting to hear some insights from the guys side. Oh well, being a guy ain't that easy afterall i guess. hahaa. So girls, don't be too mean to your guy okay..but i don't mean to say that u should treat them too well also..because we have our pride!! haha..

Friday. Confirmed. sigh. only thing i'm lookin forward to that day is probably the kuey chap. wahaha. ha ha. ha. ha.

Had a taste of what "B" shift was like today. worked 12-10. haha..interesting. I was like quite bored initially, so i did replenishing for the ladies. THe men's...another day i guess. Then i went to the sock section to replenish.. After bringing those out, i went to pack the store. Re arrange some stuff. REad an analysis on me before about being an "organiser" making things easy for people to see or get. I think it's quite true. haha... anyway, ivan really did quite a good job this time! :) i'll treat u to ice cream.I promise this time. :)

Sorry i neglected the people outside, engrossed in my own world. Until candy called me. Paiseh!! some more today made a few blunders lor..sorry!! about the Air max 360 and also forgetting to give the customer VIP discount..sorry sorry.Will be more careful next time. Thanks for being so patient.:)

Busy busy busy. gonna pia like anything le. :) i'm not earning much but i love the experience. I'm hoping to convert full time. I shall tell ivy. cos if she doesn't mind converting me, i won't mind too. If i can get into uni, i'll convert back to part time..if she doesn't find it troublesome, good.:) shall confirm with my mom again. :)

Hm.. Been slow in my blogging. but well, i'm tired also you know.. haha.

Today wasn't exactly that good, but it ain't that bad either. firstly, my customer was trying to tell me he wants a UK 6 but i was quite sure he told me he wants a 56 europe. blur blur, i went to check. The largest is 46 lah.. big foot meh? -_-!! but anyway... i offered to check but he was like it's okay, i'll just drop by the stores.

Secondly, this regular at our store, she came today. Mel used to serve her and i guess she really likes her a lot. Open mouth, close mouth is mel mel mel. Then i was like so stressed lor. She was like "mel used to match my clothes perfectly!". diao!! i so stressed lor. Later she say i bad taste. haha! Then she was like..." i still miss my mel"...aiya. i mean i offered what i call some honest opinions and let her decide what she wants. She's a rather rich lady. Wow. Thinks she's quite an okay person la... mel!! must ask her about this lady and what she likes..

Did some replenishing work, but i just jotted down the style no. and all..didn't have time to DO the replenishing..Thanks shad if you're helping me with that tomorrow. Equipments came today.. 32 cartons. Not a lot but ain't little. Interesting things. Good luck with the packing.

sis came to visit and we dined together at marina food court. Yummy! haha! We ordered two different things but the base of the soup is the same..lol! nevertheless, it still tastes as good as ever. glad mom enjoyed the set that we bought for her! Visited marina colleagues also.. saw brother, peiling, jesse and an. bought popiah! sorry if it's too little ah! supper supper next time!!

haven't had the mood to blog. Been too tired. Been working every single day. Inclusive of labourous work. Yawn. Exhausted. Yet fufilling. Argh, there's this irritating mosquito hanging around the computer desk. URGH. And i just donated some blood.

Have had some surprises this week. I really love the nike crew man. Save for the special cases. But the people there are really nice.. And even though sometimes you feel this particular person don't care about you, but the little actions do show. :)
And!! Shad and Khad looks so so so so so so alike!! I couldn't help but laugh out loud. It's too weird!! They look too similar! It's like seeing double image you know!!hahahahahaha.I met nice customers! They are really really nice. It's such a pleasure to serve them! Thanks for making my day though you won't ever be reading about this! :) Thanks really! And thanks for the helpful colleagues. Sorry if i ever offended you guys in any way. I really didn't mean it okay..thanks for being there. So forgiving and patient with me.

Hm..stocks coming in! must pack! haha! but ok lah..i did a bit the last time. just rearranging some stuff..should be fine. Anyway, i can't stuff that much into the limited space..so just try hard lor! :) Now nike got a lot of new designs lor..must come and visit okay!! :)

Went to play mahjong with veg on our fri outing. SO fun. Had prata and mahamoodiya restaurant! Yummy! the usual prata and milo dinosaur~ *slurps. hee. Going for another round this week. i hope mab can make it!!! please!! i'm praying hard mab can keep her shift. pray hard guys.

Was late for work today. Woke up at like 1.35pm can..Heng my mom called and then i chionged. By the time i changed and everything, clocked in, it was like 2.04pm already. Fast right..chiong like anything..haha. But i was still late. Heng Ivy didn't book me. Thanks Thanks thanks.

Went to work today. For the first time in so many days that i've been working, i felt so sleepy that i could just stand upright and sleep man. Super tired. Didn't really go and do much sales today. Was busy replenishing and re-arranging, tidying up the shelves. Yawn. Tired. super tired.

Thailand trip was kinda fun. Eat shop sleep eat shop sleep eat shop sleep. All the time. Haha.. fun! didn't really get THAT much stuff because i didn't do any impulsive buying. just stuff that i really really really need. After that spring cleaning sessions, i've learnt not to buy those unnecessary things. Couldn't get all that i wanted, so i guess i'll have to get those in Singapore already. :)

Altogether, i bought like 3 pairs of footwear, two skirts, 2 shirts, a belt and a bag. Is that all? i think so. Not a lot right? And earrings, present for friends. :) I need to get some other stuff also. Couldn't get them there. Aiya. :( But never mind.

Travelling with young kids is really not a good idea. I mean it's really troublesome at times. Like you have to lug so many things along like their clothings, their milk bottle, etc etc etc... And it's like draining you of energy to carry them around and to run around with them. But oh well, it's a good experience. definitely.

just knew that the hotel that i've been staying in is so famous for its spookiness! haha..diao!! see..if u don't think about it, nothing is going to happen. It's in the mind.. :) I miss thailand!
